Connecting subs to Diablo 300

When connecting subs to Diablo 300, I know Diablo 300 has 2 sub outs for L & R sub and I have 2 subs that can use high level (speaker output) connections. However if the negative speaker terminal carries voltage you cannot attach the black lead you must attach to ground. Please let me know if the negative terminal of the speaker output carries a voltage or not and if it is safe to connect a powered sub to the positive and negative terminals or if the negative should go to ground.

Answer:

It should be safe to connect the black wire for the high level input to the negative loudspeaker terminal on the Diablo 300 (the black terminals on the Diablo 300 do not carry a voltage, but should not be shorted to chassis ground. The subs should have a wire that serves as a signal ground but please check with the manufacturer. Some subs have a low level input ( e.g. a RCA socket) which you probably can use instead with the Diablo 300 sub outs. Again, check with the manufacturer of the sub.
