What is difference between Scorpio and Scorpio S?

Answer:

The AKM DAC-chip (AK4397EQ) used in the Scorpio was discontinued. The Scorpio S uses a new AKM DAC-chip (AK4490EQ) The Scorpio S sounds slightly better than the Scorpio (perhaps a little more detailed in the top and slightly tighter at the bottom.

Gryphon does not offer an upgrade from Scorpio to Scorpio S unfortunately.
