Luxman U-100R USB to SPDIF converter

This useful device will allow you to take digital audio from your computer via USB 1.0 or 2.0 and convert that signal to digital audio so that the digital input (SPDIF) on your digital audio converter can convert the signal into normal, analog music. No custom software drivers are needed for use with a Windows or Apple computer. This is in essence a digital to digital audio converter.

This device supports ASIO and sampling frequencies cover 44.1 kHz, 48kHz and 96kHz. The U-100R utilizes the same Tenor TE7022L controller chip as that employed in the highly regarded Luxman DA-200 digital preamplifier.

The U-100R removes noise and jitter from the USB-derived output of any computer or streaming audio device, and strips away the inherent clocking inaccuracies, allowing the high-precision clock inside your DAC to time the conversion of the digital bitstream. This means that the sound you hear will be a virtually pure representation of the recording – moreso than a DAC could do on its own.
