During T.H.E. SHOW NEWPORT on the weekend of June 3-6, Philip O’Hanlon — Dean of High End Audio from On A Higher Note, Joseph Cali from Joseph Cali Systems Design and Grant Samuelson of Shunyata Research — will present at the Pelican Hill room : analog 1/4” and 1/2″ tape and vinyl through a LUXMAN preamp, turntable, SACD player, amps, mono amps, and electronics, and will also be playing Hi-Res stereo & multi-channel music all the way up to Quad DSD through the Merging+ NADAC utilizing world class monitors.
The Suite will be offering closed door Music and Film Presentations by Joseph Cali. These premium demos will feature selected samples of music from all of the Analog and Digital Sources. A selection from the new Lori Lieberman Deluxe Double Record Set, Ready For The Storm on a 180 gram Quality Pressing will be played. There will also be immersive 4K high resolution content shown on a Screen Excellence Acoustically Transparent Screen paired with a 4K Wolf Projector set up by Jim McGall of Wolf, and driven by a Kaleidescape Strato 4K UHD server, Roku 4 streaming 4K UHD with live streaming in the room, 4K UHD Blu-Ray’s and a new Lori Lieberman 4K Music Video from a computer. The heart of the Audio for the Film presentation will be delivered in Surround through the Industry Standard Datasat RS20i, much like they would in the custom Professional DCI and Home Theatre they would build together with On A Higher Note’s high end music systems.
During separate presentations Philip O’Hanlon will be sampling tracks from the “Best Of The Best” 1/2” & 1/4” analog tape masters provided by Acoustic Sounds, Groove Note, Horch House and The Tape Project. Grant Samuelson from Shunyata Research will demonstrate their revolutionary Denali line conditioner, originally developed at the request of the medical industry.
