Analog Productions were kind enough to rush a whole slew of test pressings to us in time for the NY Audio Show. The LPs below are all 45 RPM re-issues:
The Doors LA Woman and Strange Days – all analog production from the original master tapes, mastered by Doug Stax on an all tube system. Overseen by Bruce Botnick (Doors original producer & engineer) 45 RPM 200 gram pressed at QRP. In contrast the Rhino Doors box set was sourced from digital transfers.
Also 45 RPM upcoming re-issues of Ella Fitzgerald, Ella and Louie, Duke Ellington & Johnny Hodges, Sunny Stitt, and also 33 RPM titles from Norah Jones, Tommy Flanigan and Eddie Lockjaw Davis.

The 45 RPM re-issues are dramatically improved over their 33 RPM sibling, most especially in the weight & gravitas of the bass. These records are noticeably much better sounding than any Japanese pressings, UHQR or any other re-issue you care to compare them to.
Should be a FUN Show!
